During the last four years, The Local Yokels Society has grown into an organization that provides programs and services to youth and adults with disabilities, and projects that promote sustainability in creating an organic garden and creating programs instilled self esteem, self worth, confidence and teamwork. We have many organizations involved with our therapudic programs, The Power to Be Adventure Therapy, Community Living Victoria, Victoria Society For Children With Autism, Vancouver Brain Injury Society, Nigel House, Mcdonald House, Futurehouse, the institute for the blind and orphans with disabilities.
All of these organizations have benifited through our society and donations are welcomed to help us continue this worth while cause that provides these benificial programs to the community.
The Local Yokels gives a very special thanks to Gordon Robinson for his patience and understanding that he has given us throughtout the year. We are looking forward to another wonderful spring in the garden. The children would like to thank Gordon for the use of his awesome farmsite and for the tasty blackberries. We had a bumper crop of organic vegatables as well and again we thank you Gord.
